Additional Clinic Information
Evaluation/Screening Appointment
Your first appointment will be an evaluation/screening appointment at no cost to you unless radiographs need to be taken to make a complete assessment of your treatment needs. At this appointment a thorough medical/dental history will be taken along with a soft/hard tissue check to advise you of your number of treatment needs, number of appointments, expected treatment outcomes, treatment options or referrals, and total fees. The treatment plan will be explained and agreed upon before any procedures are started.
Referrals
Patients are recommended to seek the services of their general dentist for complete diagnosis and continued treatment. Our clinic does not provide restorative dentistry (fillings), oral surgery, or orthodontics (braces) and if we cannot provide the necessary treatment, a referral will be made to someone who can. If you have no dentist, the 4th District Dental Society can provide you with information concernign a dentist in your area.
Confidentiality
All records will be kept confidential. Patient records and dental x-ray become the property of MSU-Great Falls College of TEchnology Dental Hygiene Clinic. Client records, including dental x-rays may be released after instructor evaluation. Your signature authorizes release of your dental records.
Pre-Existing Conditions
- Faulty amalgam or composite fillings and margins or recurrent decay under restorations
- These conditions may cause dislodgement of the existing filling during dental hygiene procedures
