Part
of being a PTK member, is helping other students to graduate.
There are students who are struggling with certain classes and
others who may be at risk of losing their financial aid. At
this time, the college administration doesn't have the funding
to hire more tutors to help students. The members of Phi Theta
Kappa see this as a serious situation that needs to be addressed
and rectified.
We
are currently looking for members who are willing to become
mentors to students in need of assistance. This area of the
website is for students looking for help with their classes.
As members step forth to volunteer for this type of service,
we will list there names, areas of study that they feel comfortable
tutoring some one else in, and their contact information. It
may take a while for us to find members and other students to
help, but we are committed. To see the list of mentors, click
the "Mentors" button shown
below.
A PTK College Mentor Program message
board has been created so that students can post messages to
mentors and other students when they need help with their classes.
A General message board is also
available for students to post messages to other PTK members.
