Position:	Biology Faculty (tenure track)
Salary:	$33,737 - $40,532/year. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, & placement on the MSU-Great Falls Faculty Salary Structure. 9-month contract.
Union:	Vocational Technical Educators of Montana
Available:	Fall Semester 2010 (mid-August 2010)

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide classroom and laboratory instruction in Human Biology, Anatomy & Physiology I & II. Teaching other biology courses is also possible, including Microbiology, General Biology, Cell Biology, Botany/Zoology, or Basic Scientific Skills and Concepts. The option to teach summer courses is available contingent on enrollment.

Specific responsibilities for this position include:

Must be able to adjust to a variety of teaching situations, including a wide range of student preparedness;
Develop and teach courses relevant to the Montana University System General Education Core;
Teach courses using traditional and alternative delivery systems;
Position may include teaching evenings.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Biology or closely related field or Master's degree plus 9 graduate credits in Biology or closely related field required;
Experience in course development and teaching at a post-secondary level required; teaching at a two-year college preferred;
Experience in laboratory course preparation and instruction preferred;
Computer literacy required;
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required; and
Ability to relate well to students of various ages and backgrounds required.
