The employer contribution for the 2011/2012 plan year is $733/month. The Dependent Premium Waiver will end June 30, 2011. Now, ALL Montana University System employees are eligible to apply for Healthy Montana Kids.

Healthy Montana Kids: Effective January 1, 2011, Montana University System employees have the option of enrolling dependent children in Healthy Montana Kids. For more information regarding this affordable option for health insurance including eligibility requirements; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and application requirements; go to www.hmk.mt.gov.
Enrollment Periods and Effective Dates: Newly eligible employees have the option of enrolling themselves and any eligible dependents as plan participants or waiving all coverage during a 31-day initial enrollment period that begins on the enrollment date, which is the date of hire if eligible on that date, or the first date of eligibility under the Plan. Effective July 1, 2011, there will no longer be an open enrollment period. An annual closed enrollment period allowing changes to levels of coverage for eligible dependents already on the plan will occur beginning spring 2012. Any eligible dependent(s) not enrolled on the plan as of July 1, 2011, or during the initial enrollment period for new employees hired after July 1, 2011, cannot be added to the plan without a qualifying event.
Mid-Year Changes and Qualifying Events: Your Choices elections will remain in effect for the entire plan benefit period following initial or closed enrollment unless you have a change in status (qualifying event) in accordance with the Montana University System Plan.
