How to Apply & Join our Adjunct Faculty Pool

MSU–Great Falls College of Technology has varying needs for adjunct instructors. Adjunct instructors are hired based on the needs of the institution, which are evaluated every semester in each of these areas: Developmental Education & Transfer; Business, Trades, and Technology; Health Sciences; and Outreach. Please see our current Catalog for 2011-2012 for available Academic Programs and Course Descriptions.

Required qualifications for adjunct teaching positions vary depending on the type of openings available and are based on the Montana Board of Regent’s Policy 730.

Sometimes, open adjunct positions will be advertised on our job seekers webpage. However, because our needs can change quickly and because we may not advertise an opening, having your application on file with us in an Adjunct Faculty pool (even if your area of expertise is not listed on our employment webpage) may be beneficial! Applications are kept on file for one year.

If you wish to apply for an adjunct faculty position, please submit the following information:

Cover letter of interest (state specifically what you are interested in teaching)
Resume or Curriculum Vitae
Contact information for 3 Professional References
A completed Criminal Background Check form
Transcripts of educational credentials (copies permitted with application – official transcripts required if hired)

We also offer Duel Credit courses to high school students. Therefore, applicants who fill these positions may also be required to complete a separate application to the State of Montana for Class 4 or Class 8 teaching licensure (unless the applicant already holds a Class 1 or Class 2 license) in the subject area.
