Grade Point Average (GPA): To calculate your GPA, the total number of grade points earned is divided by the total number of credits earned that have grade point values.
Incomplete: Incomplete "I" grades are issued at the discretion of faculty when the course work of a student has been satisfactory, but for some unavoidable mitigating circumstance, the student is unable to complete the work by the end of the term.
After consulting with the instructor, the student must make a formal request for an incomplete grade by completing the Request for Incomplete form [PDF], stating what unavoidable mitigating circumstance(s) prevented completion of the work and proposing the conditions under which the work will be completed.
If a faculty member approves the request, the student will have until the end of the next semester to make up the incomplete. If a student fails to make up an incomplete within the allotted time, the incomplete grade will be converted to an "F". NOTE: ANY TIME-FRAME ARRANGEMENTS LESS THAN ONE SEMESTER IN LENGTH, MADE BETWEEN STUDENT AND FACULTY ON THE REQUEST FOR INCOMPLETE FORM, SUPERCEDE THE ABOVE POLICY.
If a request form does not accompany the final grade roster, the student will be issued a Not Recorded (NR) grade until the appropriate paperwork is received by the Admissions & Records Office.
