Hi to all of you nursing students and those who are interested in becoming nurses.  What a trip you are about to take!  I have been a nurse since 1972. When I was a student nurse in San Diego, California, I took care of Marines and Navy personnel returning from Vietnam.  What a learning experience! 

Our student nurses are currently doing clinical rotations at Benefis Hospital, East and West campus, Great Falls Clinic, Park Place Nursing Facility, Missouri River Manor, Benefis Extended Care Center, MONARC, Fast Track at Benefis ER, GF Clinic Oncology Clinic, and Immediate Care.  Clinical rotations are done each semester along with the lecture courses.  The clinical component is where the student starts becoming a nurse.  At the end of the program, students graduate from the school, in May, and from the program by way of a pinning ceremony in July.

  I unwind at home with my husband of 40 years, two cats and two dogs; one dog has just learned not to eat furniture, after ingesting two recliners and a couch! My daughter is a veternarian in Seattle and a son in Florida who is a computer "person."; I have a grandson in Great Falls who is 11 years old and knows everything.
