Position: Reimbursement Analyst and Coding Specialist (Missoula, MT)
Department: HIM
Hours: Full Time (0800-1630, Mon-Fri) (this may be flexible)
Qualifications: Band B2. Responsible for assignment of E & M level charges, ICD9-CM and CPT codes for the services of EMD (emergency room encounters) and FCS (urgent care clinic). Must know medical terminology and anatomy. Must be a team player. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, must be self motivated, proficient and productive. CPC preferred but not require; 1 year coding experience required.

Job Title: Medical Records Manager

This person oversees all duties associated with the Medical Records department. Overall management responsibility for the Medical Records department and strategic interface with the rest of the clinic organization. Meets with staff of Medical Records on a bi-monthly basis individually and as a whole on a weekly basis. Maintains staff coverage for the Medical Records department. Prepares the yearly budget for the department. Maintains legal files associated with the surgeons. Monitors job progress between staff and copying service. Monitors special project timelines with department staff and other clinical staff members as needed. Responsible for Medical Records staffing issues associated with hiring, firing, disciplinary, and both 90 day and yearly reviews.Monitors and resolves discrepancies in job performance by employees to ensure client satisfaction. Effective leader and communicator.
Computer Skills: Ability to easily learn other software programs as needed. Electronic Medical Records Implementation experience, a plus.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma. College Degree Preferred. Two or more years direct experience. One or more years in patient contact. One or more years in supervisory position.
Medical Records Manager - Madras, Oregon
Under the administrative direction of the Hospital Administrator; plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, evaluates, and controls all Medical Records resources, methods, procedures, policies and systems. Responsible for maintenance of systems, controls, procedures and records in accordance with required regulations. This position is full time and offers a full suite of benefits.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education/Training: Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Licensure: Accredited Record Technician (ART) or Registered Health InformationTechnologist (RHIT) required.
Interpersonal: Must have the ability to work with others as a team. Must have cooperative working skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families and staff. The ability to demonstrate a courteous, caring and understanding attitude toward patients, families, co-workers, visitors, physicians and volunteers is needed.
Physical: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, squat, push, pull and reach for prolonged periods of time as required. Must be able to lift equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to read computer screen text. Must be able to communicate with individuals in person or on the telephone; read and write text; solve complex problems; and respond to department and hospital emergencies. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress inherent to the position.
