Program Goals
Develop and maintain a curriculum which allows students to master the entry-level competencies, professional behaviors, and technical proficiency necessary to become RHITs;
Improve the potential of students to meet program graduation requirements or to enter a more appropriate career choice through academic advisement or referral for career and retention counseling/supportive services;
Meet the Program's enrollment target of twelve (12) new students per year and graduation goal of seventy-five percent of each enrolled class;
Increase student awareness of the many differences in types of health care facilities by providing a variety of clinical experiences;
Increase employment opportunities for program graduates by enrollment with the Center's Placement Services; and
Serve the local health care community with at least one continuing education service each year.
