Welcome to Interior Design at MSU Great Falls CoT!  This is my second year as Program Director of  the Interior Design department and my fourth year teaching at MSUGF-CoT.  I received my BA in Art with an Interior Design emphasis from Montana State University in Bozeman in the late 70s and have worked in the field of design ever since that time.  Although my education stressed commercial interior design, most of my experience has been in residential design.

 
Except  for four years that I spent living & working in Spokane, WA, I am a lifelong Montanan.  My husband Larry (Director of EMS at MSUGF) and I raised our three sons on his family farm that is about an hour away from here near Big Sandy.  We are still active farmers and enjoy that lifestyle, but sometimes we wish we had more time to spend enjoying the Montana outdoors.

  
Interior Design is an area of interest I have enjoyed for as long as I can remember - I knew what I wanted to be in 8th grade, and I have enjoyed the work and my clients a great deal. Now I have a new set of clients - MSUGF students - that I enjoy working with very much.  Although I never imagined being a teacher, I find it to be extremely rewarding and challenging work.

 
There are exciting things going on at MSUGF!  We worked hard to become a National Kitchen & Bath Supported Program in early 2005 and are hoping to become fully endorsed by Spring 2006.  Being involved with NKBA creates a new world of possibilities for our students.  We are also sponsoring an EF tour of "The Renaissance & Rome" along with the MSUGF Art Dept. to be departing in late May 2006.  Why don't you join us?
