Biography-
I started teaching at MSU Great Falls College of Technology in the Fall of 2004. At MSUGF I teach Biology classes, serve on the campus safety committee, and presently serve as advisor for the PTK Honor Society. Other projects include initiating and writing the campus Chemical Hygiene Plan.
Prior to coming to Great Falls I worked 14 years at Wenatchee Valley College in Wenatchee, WA where I taught Biology and Chemistry and ran the science labs. Before Wenatchee, I taught high school science and math and worked for the USDA Forest Service as an interpretive naturalist.
My spare time is spent exploring the prairies, coulees, foothills, rivers and mountains of Montana.

Courses Taught-
Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology I & II, Human Biology, General Biology, Cell Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science.
Biological Interests-
Wildlife issues, large and small mammals, herpetology, infectious diseases, microbiology, comparative anatomy/physiology, ornithology, and natural history of native flora and fauna.
My graduate research was a study of small mammals in riparian corridors and adjacent
upslopes.
Community Service-
I served for 12 years on the board of directors for the Washington State Bowhunters Association, with 2 years as president. During this time I also served on a game management advisory council for the WA Dept of Fish and Wildlife.
In MT I am involved with the the Medicine River Canoe Club, Missouri River Breaks Audubon and Montana Bowhunters Association.
Hobbies-
Hiking, climbing, hunting, fishing, ocean kayaking, canoeing, wildlife/nature photography, ceramics, and travel.
My interest in archery has led me to start crafting traditional recurve bows and english longbows from a variety of native woods and natural materials like sinew.
