Pam Parsons is the Executive Director of Community Relations. There are two significant responsibilities within the Division: Outreach and Communications.

Community Relations is responsible for:

conveying the value of the College’s quality, timely educational opportunities to internal and external communities

creating and sustaining an environment of integrity, openness and innovation

anticipating and assessing needs for higher education and workforce training;

filling education and training needs by delivering coursework and programs

facilitating the use of the campus by the community

exploring non-traditional educational strategies adapted to specific audiences

Division Goals for FY2013

  • Promote achievements and priorities of the college to stakeholders;
  • Manage college rebranding through the College!Now effort;
  • Continue successful implementation of Community Enrichment courses in partnership with Great Falls Public Schools;
  • Identify, gather and assess appropriate data to guide departmental decisions;
  • Explore the feasibility of online and unique courses, professional certificates and programs to serve the needs of Montana's workforce and employers;
  • Continue improvement of the campus Event Management Syste to improve room reservation processes for internal and external audiences;
  • Continue improvement of division workflow and staff responsibilities.

Personal goals of the Executive Director for FY2013

  • Communicate performance expectations and goals clearly.
  • Utilize data driven evidence and proven practices in problem solving and business decisions.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, effective external and internal communication.
  • Provide a positive role model and live the mission and values of the College.
  • Build meaningful relationships with faculty and staff.
