Network Support professionals plan, set up and maintain the network systems that help local, national and global businesses share information.
Network professionals interpret and solve problems. They are responsible for the physical setup of networked computer systems, as well as configuring those setups, maintaining security and providing technical support.
You will study basic computer courses and then study cabling, routers, switching, network operating systems and security, in depth. In the course of earning your Network Support Associate of Applied Science degree, you will test for the following certificates:
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• CompTIA A+
The program also offers courses covering wireless technologies, IP telephony, and network security in response to demand from employers.
