When should you report a suspected violation of computing policies?

You should report a suspected violation of computing policies if:
  • You receive a threatening or harassing email.
  • You receive spam that originated at an MSUGF email address, one that ends in @msugf.edu or an MSUGF IP address.
  • You receive promotional information for a private business from an MSUGF email address.
  • You feel that a law is being broken through use of MSUGF information technology.
  • An MSUGF email address has sent you a virus.
  • You suspect your computer has been scanned or otherwise compromised.
  • You have found an MSUGF website that has been defaced.
