Planning Documents for the Facilities Expansion Project

In 2005, the Great Falls legislative delegation united in support of House Bill 540 carried by Representative Sue Dickenson of Great Falls. HB 540 sought nearly $70 million for building projects throughout the state, primarily at Montana's two-year colleges. Among the projects was an $11 million allocation for facilities expansion at MSU - Great Falls.

Information about the need for new space at MSU - Great Falls was provided to legislators and the community in Making the Case for a New Addition. The tabloid newsletter provides a statement of need for the building project.

An Invitation to the Community to participate in an open forum was sent to community members in October, 2005. The Forum was held on November 4 and gave attendees an opportunity to hear the results of the Paulien and Associates Demographic Analysis, Occupational Demand and Workforce Study and to share their ideas on the facility plan.

On May 8, 2006, the College invited the public to view the architects' rendering of the building expansion project. The Facilities Fact Sheet summarizes the need for space and gives an overview of the plans for new and remodeled space. An anticipated timeline is included.
