Approaching the MSU - Great Falls campus by air from the south, you see the building as it will be with the building expansion. The facility, prior to 2006/07 expansion, is that which is connected - in blue and gray on the right. To your lower left is the Skilled Trades Center. Within the gold and blue areas on the upper left are the Atrium, science classrooms, the Library and Student Learning Center. The primary entrance to the building will face 16th Avenue to the north of the facility.

As you view the campus from the north, you can see the new entrance to the facility and the elevation containing the Library, Learning Center and science classrooms. On your right in the first image is a view of the high bay entrances to the Skilled Trades Center. Note the landscaping detail adjacent to the new addition in the second image and the beautiful new entrance in image three.

The Atrium will welcome you as you enter from the new north entrance. As you face the southwest, the stairs and elevator that will take you to the second level are on your left. The entrance to the Library and Student Learning Center are directly across from you, right behind the centrally located Information Desk. Behind you is the newly remodeled Student Services Department. Students will have easy access to the services and people that can provide assistance as well as expanded study and conversation areas.

As you stand behind the new addition looking northeast, you will have a view of student gathering and study areas on your left and the Atrium as you look ahead. As you look through the energy efficient glass panels, you see the stairway that leads to the second level. To your right, the atrium leads to an inviting spill-out area serving the needs of those utilizing the updated Heritage Hall.

You are viewing the south side of the Skilled Trades Center. The vision of this plan is to include carpentry, metal fabrication or other construction trade programs in a spacious building with state-of-the-art equipment. This would provide workers to help fill a workforce shortage in those trades.
