Loan Entrance Counseling
All first time loan borrowers at this campus are required to complete Loan Entrance Counseling. A student's rights and responsibilities as a borrow are discussed. No loan proceeds can be paid to a student's account until entrance counseling is completed. Students may attend any of the following sessions:

Signature Cards
Students who have a financial aid suspension appeal granted for Spring 2009 must establish they are maintaining satisfactory progress before financial aid will be paid. These students must ask the instructor of each class to verify with the Financial Aid Office that the student is attending class and has a passing grade. Instructors should email the Financial Aid Office at finaid@msugf.edu on or after January 28, 2009. Students with veriification for all classes submitted by February 2, 2009 will receive their refund checks on the published date. Verification of adequate academic performance received after that date will result in a delayed refund check.
Bookstore Charging
Students who have been adequate financial aid to pay tuition and fees and books, may elect to have a bookstore charge account created at the COT Bookstore. The Financial Aid charge dates for Spring Semester are:

Bookstore charge limits are based on the number of credits enrolled, as listed below. Individual students may be assigned a lower charge limit, based on the student's available financial aid. Contact the Financial Aid Office to request an increase in the charge limit.

Refund Dates
After financial aid pays for the student's tuition, fees and bookstore charges, the remainder is refunded to the student for living and miscellaneous expenses. Students may pick up their refund check from the Business Office on refund date, after presenting a photo ID to the cashier. Students should review their bill on Banner Web - My Info the week prior to refunds to assure finanacial aid has paid and a refund is forthcoming.
